Personal Statement
Laura Ashley has a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Mrs. Ashley has worked with a variety of individuals who are physically impaired or developmentally delayed and has gained hands on experience in a variety of occupational therapy settings. She has interacted with and treated children with a variety of diagnoses in early intervention and the school settings. She also has worked with many adolescents and adults with physical disabilities or impairments. Presently, she works in the area of early intervention, assistive technology and computer access at the T.K. Martin Center for Technology and Disability at Mississippi State University. She provides evaluations, recommendations for service, and training on a variety of adaptive devices to persons with developmental delays and physical impairments.
